X post summaries in your workspace

Reply to a post on X, tag @shannon_dot_bot, and a few minutes later a summary sits in your workspace, linked back to the original. Your mention is the only public part: the bot answers only registered accounts, privately, inside Shannon.

You can now summon Shannon from a post on X. Reply under anything worth keeping, tag @shannon_dot_bot, and a few minutes later a summary sits in your workspace, linked back to the original and ready to work with. You never leave the feed, and the filing happens without you.

Shannon is the AI workspace I’m building, and its agent (the part that reads, writes, and files on its own) runs around the clock on a server rather than in a tab you keep open. This feature is “Always-on” Agents made concrete: you shouldn’t have to go to the agent. You should be able to wave at it from wherever you already are.

Save posts without leaving X

There’s a one-time setup: you connect your X account to Shannon so the bot knows which mentions are yours and which workspace to file into. Once you’re registered, reply to a post with @shannon_dot_bot and it’ll summarize it for you, or give it a command like @shannon_dot_bot outline the important points and suggest updates to my workflows. It works the same whether you’re reading over coffee or three quote-posts deep in a thread you’d never find again.

Draft reply on X under Thariq's post about Claude Fable 5, tagging @shannon_dot_bot and asking for the article's main points and how they apply to the author's workflows.
Tag @shannon_dot_bot in a reply

Each summary lands in a .Twitter folder in your workspace with a link back to the original post, and Shannon notifies you when it’s there.

Shannon workspace with a .Twitter folder open, showing a filed summary titled How to Use Claude Fable 5 to Discover and Manage Unknowns with bullet points on known knowns, known unknowns, unknown knowns, and unknown unknowns.
The summary lands in your workspace, ready to search and build on.

Private summaries from connected accounts

A stranger tagging @shannon_dot_bot gets nothing. The account connection you made at setup is what lets Shannon know it was summoned by you. The bot does not post a reply; the summary stays private.

Keep tagging posts without breaking your flow, and the folder starts to become its own reference library. Shannon reads, distills, and files each one as you go, so the things you would have bookmarked and forgotten become notes you can search, summarize, and build on later.

Under the hood

When you tag the bot, it reads the post you replied under through X’s official API and can follow an article linked inside it. Each summary is produced by a fire-and-forget agent run with a deliberately narrow toolset. It can fetch a link and create one file. It cannot read, update, or delete anything in your workspace, so a post crafted to hijack the agent has no workspace tools to misuse.

Stop saving bookmarks never to be read again. Connect your X account in Shannon’s settings, then tag @shannon_dot_bot under the next post you’d have bookmarked.
